Because then the same players would be paired up against each other week after week. They place the 1 and 2 on opposite sides, then randomly draw 3 and 4, 5-8, 9-16, and if it’s a slam, 17-32. All other placements are randomized.

There was a children’s play center/gymnastics place near our local theater that did once-monthly parents’ nights on Fridays. They sold out weeks in advance and gave parents enough time for dinner and a movie. It was reasonable ($25/kid?, maybe less for parents who used them during the day?) and they fed them as well.
I like the concept of Antetokuonmpo at the point, but the Bucks did also sign Dellavedova and draft Brogdon, so I’m not sure they’re totally committed to that idea going forward.
Good shooters miss shots. Team loses game. News at eleven.
Disagree: Mick, feel free to make a bracket, following the rules. Then talk about how easy it is to “make matchups” like you claim.
I was like “LOL MBA in a year from Baylor”, then I saw he had a UVA law degree (the school founded by Thomas Jefferson (read his bio)), and I kind of broke.
As a Virginia alum, I would also say to be careful.
Ha! Never seen that before and I know exactly where that Target is.
Almost true. Iowa is not.
Disclaimer: not a genius, don’t coach in the NBA.
Real Nazis don’t do facial hair, so don’t mix the two. There’s a history to this.
Not sure which is sadder: the idea that the Kings are worried about protecting a 15-point lead with 2:24 left or the fact that Jameer Nelson, a 13-year pro and one-time all-star, didn’t seem to know (or care) that the shot clock wouldn’t start if he didn’t go do anything.
This is dirty as fuck. Cooley has a history too. McCloughan is a flawed genius, Cooley is fucking worthless.
Yeah, I guess that sums it up nicely. I would just be worried that he’s a AAAA-college level player. Too good for college, but too different for the NBA. Faried fits this description pretty well. If the defensive rebounds go away, is there enough else there? Can he accept being a solid role player?
I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt because you have clearly watched Purdue more than I have, but I always have to save a little side-eye for guys that pile up defensive rebounds, but don’t have similar offensive rebounding or block numbers. A lot of defensive rebounds are uncontested.
Del Potro is a good miss. He’s an auto-pick as a wild card. Tomic, meh? Definitely taking Isner over Tomic.
I was intrigued by the concept of the Laver Cup until I checked the rankings and saw Steve Johnson is the 6th-ranked non-European.
I’m sincerely excited for the NC State coaching search. I imagine their initial list will have Calipari, Stevens, Miller (Archie and/or Sean), and Self, as per the Wolfpack way.
I think it’s hard to say? Smith has been the only remotely good thing on that team, but everything runs through him, so he has to take a lot of the blame.
He also does nothing but shoot wide open shots, doesn’t pass or rebound, and his steals and blocks barely register. As a fan of a team that has a reputation for playing exceptional defense, I know that defense works from the inside-out and being a 6-7 perimeter defender is like being the best open-field running back…
