This is slightly par for the course for the WWE — watching old matches posted from their official account on YouTube, they drop lines of commentary that would not fly today and manipulate the video so it looks like your screen briefly freezes just before impact when someone gets a nasty head shot with a chair.

The Benjamin Hill Center for Film Studies sight gag was awesome in this movie, and I’m totally curious to see if any of The Kids Who Happen To Catch This On TNT Or Whatever get that joke.

I really, truly hope that the entire formulation, pitch, filming, editing, and broadcast of How To With John Wilson was a very long set-up for this Anatomy of a Scene video. I would be into that a lot.

I was scrolling down, getting ready to mention Rubáiyát in case someone else didn’t.

Yeah, as much as I love Errol Morris’ work, I’m finding it had to get psyched up for this series for this very reason. It’s just wildly implausible that MacDonald didn’t do it, for all the reasons people have listed here. 

I liked My Boys a lot, but there’s only two lines of dialogue that have stuck with me over the years:

I love this movie.

The Worst Idea of All Time, “Prawn Salad” (S1 Ep 29)

This show got a lot better when it pivoted from “Curb-Your-Enthusiasum-but-Larry-is-a-novelty-rapper” to “Atlanta-but-Paper-Boi-is-a-novelty-rapper-feeling-fenced-in-by-his-rep.”

Everytime Tom Brady’s ex-wife gets all huffy, the line in my house goes something like “This is why Tom Brady left you.  Giselle doesn’t care about Miranda warnings!”

There’s a good follow-up story to his appearance on Ali G. I think I heard this on WTF w. Marc Maron, but maybe elsewhere. I can’t find a cite for the story right now.

I believe it’s “catch a case on some bullshit”

The SHO series “Action”— a documentary-series about the effects of legalization of sports betting - was riveting. The makers of the show did an excellent job of letting people hang themselves with their own words and leaving the camera on them just a little too long to capture real reactions.

You could skip tracks on an 8 track, you just never really knew which track you were going to skip to and where it would be in the song.

Hell yes. Great album. The title track and “Let’s Take A Vacation” are among the best songs of the year.

Absolutely love Th Wild Feathers album this year— I saw them live at Ohana Fest and they killlllllled it, as they kids say. If you consider Eagles country-is stuff to be capital C Country, then sure they’re country. Americana is a better label for them.
