Don't forget, we're now in a world where Republican candidates and voters have decided that "What policies will you bring to the table?" and "How, specifically, would you deal with a terrorist attack on U.S. soil?" etc. are dirty 'gotcha' questions from the Liberal media.
I'm pretty sure that if you went out for

Because every good American knows that turning away Jewish refugees in the late-30's/early-40's and Japanese Internment Camps are both things that America looks back on as points of pride and definitely-the-right-decision.
Gotta keep going with the tactics that are historically proven to work and not-at-all remembered

Yeah, it's a pretty disgusting and cynical tactic that helps them on two fronts:
1) the "tough on brown people/non-Christians" front
2) the "Federal government is the problem! It stops us from running things how we'z done been electorated to run things!" front

Oohhhhhhh, the brand is 'Tapout'. I was never able to make that out through the layer of Cheetos dust.

The problem was that the show didn't have enough Katey Sagal singing cover songs. Or brooding musical montages at the end of every episode.

Wasn't there also a history textbook in some southern state that decided instead of referring to those in chattel slavery as 'slaves' (you know, what they actually were) they would label them, essentially, as 'people who didn't like their jobs very much'?

Meesa no understand why you hate cartoonish racist caricature

Why stop there? give it the full title it deserves!:
Chappie 2: Chappie Takes Manhattan: The Android Menace: Robot Boogaloo

I'd be more willing to be somewhat excited about this if Blomkamp wasn't also writing the screenplay. The guy can direct reasonably well, and he's got world-building down, but he can't write for shit.

History will remember Will Forte as the greatest rubber-dick magnate of this, or any other, century. The acting gig is just him biding his time.

Never heard of Friends Reunited before, but, yeah, that seems to be a theme with policing.
About half a dozen people I graduated high school with (including a few friends) went into various Police Foundations programs at College here in Canada, and they all said the same thing about the breakdown of their class:
A

You're aware that Tarantino films are fictional, yeah? Like, the cop from Reservoir Dogs was an actor, and not an actual cop he kidnapped, and the ear was a prop, not a real ear.

I hear that, Duke. It's like that time I watched Ocean's Eleven and then couldn't stop myself from rounding up a crew and pulling off an overly elaborate casino heist.
Or the time I watched Up that resulted in a huge debt from helium and balloon purchases, and my home careening into an orphanage, instead of allowing

I think the problem is the gap between what they *think* their job entails, and what the actual expectations of their job are.
I mean, if police were expected to de-escalate situations, and use only the minimum amount of force required, then where would high-school bullies go to get paid for their anti-social

And what's the deal with scissors and pants? Why is one of them 'a pair'?
Is each blade 'a scissor'? is each leg 'a pant'?

Same here. I'll also throw in that I think with the tone of the show (so far, at least), 'obvious effects are obvious' doesn't really detract in any way. Kind of fits the goofy charm of the show.

If the show legitimately *has* killed off Glenn, then I assume that means it's because they're gearing up to introduce a new Asian character? I mean, that does seem to be how they've handled most of the black characters on the show.

I enjoy this show for what it is. I kind of roll my eyes when I hear someone claiming it's the best show on tv, but it's enjoyable in its way.
BUT:
In the timeline of the show we're how far into the zombie apocalypse? 2 years? 3 years? Shouldn't the threat of huge herds of walkers be going down some? I mean, how long

I agree that Ghostbusters is an absolutely perfect comedy, but I'm not so sure that it (as a franchise) deserves to be put on some pedestal when the same creative team made Ghostbusters 2.

Well, of course fans of the originals don't "owe" the franchise owners their approval. But, like I said, the approval of the fans is irrelevant.
There's also a fairly wide gap between simply not being excited about a reboot, or thinking it's misguided, and the amount of vitriol aimed at these projects - especially
