Because evangelicals vote on exactly one issue: abortion. He can continue be incredibly immoral as long as he keeps appointing judges who will rule against abortion, starting departments for the purposes of protecting religious anti abortion rights, and speaking at anti-abortion rallies; he’ll get their vote.

Yep, being able to beat somebody up is definitely the standard for earning respect we should keep using.

My biggest takeaway here is that there’s a publication called Referee Magazine.

But he is just a 22 year old kid. More importantly, unless I’ve missed a story he hasn’t done anything awful. He got arrested for being drunk and obnoxious, and has been in the news for taunting opponents. One of whom was Ohio State, who could resist taunting them. Why would any of those things anger you?

I usually get annoyed at everyone racing to the comments to criticize you, but man! This opinion is garbage. This is a really blatant dive.

Quite a stretch to argue large states are marginalized. They get proportional representation in the House. I think we can all agree we talk about New York and California much more than Wyoming.

Because we’re a Republic, not a pure Democracy. It’s an intentional means to balance the will of the majority against the needs of minorities. It’s not perfect, but if made the Senate proportionate, and eliminated the Electoral College(I know you didn’t say that, but it’s a related issue,) Wyoming and Vermont would be

“Like how St Patrick’s Day is a day the Irish celebrate driving christianity from the iles, yet has been turned into an excuse for getting drunk.”

Right? Meanwhile Cali is wearing herself out trying to pitch and immediately ran and play catcher as well. Don’t expect the team to pay you 2 salaries rookie!

Um, is this a comment on the Floyd Mayweather story? Doesn’t seem to make sense in regards to the kid with brain damage.

The difference is that these people, with one exception, were goverment employees who covered up a lot of the facts of the incident. This isn’t a private sector employee who is being prosecuted after all this time for a mistake, it’s public employees who both caused the incident and then used their position to

I don’t know. Looks like the closest he came to dropping the baby was when the mom grabbed at her. I came expecting to be on her side, I’m leaving on his.

120/130 degrees I’d say

This comment makes me wish negative stars existed.

Whoa, your feelings on this are much stronger than mine. I wasn’t annoyed with the opinion, I just didn’t agree. Deadspin literally has two articles at the top of the page praising the Warriors right now.

You’re right, I got carried away. I apologize.

Maybe it’s because I’m too casual an NBA fan, but I don’t share this take at all. I find the story line of, “can anyone beat this crazy super team and the really good team in the East,” much more compelling than, “which of these 8 decent teams will pull it together in time.” I know I’m pretty alone in that though.

You aren’t wrong that he’s still responsible, but your comparison to shooting a gun is pretty ridiculous. If you consciously pull a trigger in someone’s direction the reasonable expectation is that you’ll shoot them. Not the same as underestimating the effects of prescription drugs when you get in your car.

I don’t know. I’m not so sure you watched the game.
