Since we’re equivocating here, what do we award Ichiro for having to face 4 or 5 different pitchers a game, all of whom throw 93+ with movement? How many of Pete Rose’s hits came against guys in 4-man rotations who routinely threw 130-150 pitches a game? By the 4th at bat, my guess is a shrewd hitter like Pete Rose…

...in America, when people feel like a person is below them, not just in numbers but in general, they will kind of talk you up. But then when you get up to the same level or maybe even higher, they get in attack mode; they are maybe not as supportive.
