The good news on that is that there seems to be a massive reaction against corrupt government officials and their proxies, down to (and probably especially) local levels in the younger generation.

I hope you’re right. My fear is that the American people are rapidly becoming desensitised to criminal acts in government. Each additional one does not seem to strengthen the last but to weaken it. And Trump is triumphant and amazed at how much he has managed to evade any standard or legality. And continues to do so.

Word on Twitter is grand juries were empaneled and were sending subpoenas and Comey was giving intel through an accerlerated court after Trump told Comey to stop the grand juries or he would be fired. He wasn’t surprised.
