So, after driving a manual for 20+ years, I learned something new the other day (listening to an old Car Talk podcast): just resting your hand on the gear shift while the car is in gear can slowly wear out the shifter fork fingers and synchronizer sleeve, eventually causing it to pop out of gear.
Does it matter? I’m still not voting for either of them.
