My whole family and I watched Firefly during its original run (I was 12), and one of the few things we can all agree on is that someone at FOX deserves a good punch for cancelling that show. I know, not the most original sentiment, but it's a good one.

I appreciate a good "The AV Club" joke, even when nobody else does.

Randy Quaid stumbled on an ancient Inuit princess' sarcophagus and is now possessed with the undying urge to take over the world, while also feasting on seal fat, small children, and your hatred.

I am now hoping that Ted Cruz is actually Randy Quaid, so deep in character that he forgot who he was.

Wonderfalls and Dead like Me are favorites of mine, though I felt they did not quite get the endings they deserved so it's good to hear that a Bryan Fuller show got its due. Pushing Daisies is on my list as well.

This is one show I've yet to watch for the sole reason that I know it's going to piss me off that they never made more.

"Nice!"—Beyonce fans

His face reminds me of the 90's Spiderman action figure Morbius' "human face". You just know if you press a button on his back, his face will turn around to reveal a monster.

Yeah, it was pretty much the worst thing I've read in a long time. If I were given a job reviewing albums, I would use this template:
1. Give the album at least a couple of days of repeat listens, unless it is offensively bad.
2. Talk about how the band's past work has influenced the current album, if applicable
3.

Yeah…it seems that they're covering the same sort of things Rolling Stone would be covering lately, which is not a compliment.

Oh, I still definitely like this site, I just miss a few of the old reviewers and columnists that disappeared a while back. The music section just seems to have gone in a different editorial direction than what I was used to.

I'll check that out! I feel like the AV club is veering eerily towards the realm of becoming a celebrity gossip site some days, I miss the days when I knew an A review here meant I absolutely needed to check out that album.

I used to come here as an alternative, and while it is still far superior I feel like the music coverage has gone down hill over the past two years or so.

The pitchfork review for this album is the most hipstery piece of shit ever written:

I guess I would say that Scorsese repeats himelf because it's a point that he feels still needs to be made, but beyond that I think we're just at a difference in opinion on whether or not we like his movies.

Cylian Murphy! He's older than me, but he looks like a younger me, the bastard.

I think the real key difference is that Abby and Ilana are both funny, charming characters and people in real life whereas Lena Dunham is really irritating both as her character and as a person and people will always find ways to hate on you if they don't like you. On the other hand, I don't see what is so upsetting

Oh, paper companies then. The anti-weed movement that led up to the Reagan era drug war is strongly rooted in keeping hemp from being used as a viable alternative paper-source. It took a whole lot of evil to warp public mindset into seeing marijuana and hemp as one thing, a whole lot more to make marijuana sound

That's a really interesting point, if one looks at Scorsese's filmography, his films follow an almost-linear devolution towards corruption and an ability to avoid consequences. The more powerful a character gets, the less likely Scorsese's films are to punish them, and I feel like many people mistake that as

While I've seen the previews and have been intrigued, I've yet to watch it so I can't give a proper opinion yet. I am of the mind that a premise well done is a premise done well, even if it has been done a lot and that is how we should judge said story. Still, a cliche'd plot is definitely something that will get my
