The Batman movie has been sitting in my Netflix queue for a while. It is 12:30am where I am… hmm…

I like him more in things like Charlie Wilson's War. He has an effortless and non-threatening likability that works well. They should find a way to use like like older Cary Grant. Hanks is quite handsome now, I'd argue more than he was when young. He could be used effectively in a light screwball romance or something.

I love Quick Change. It is on the Starz app right now and I am thrilled. So many great jokes in it. I think my favorite bit is Philip Bosco's way-too-serious bus driver.

I've heard Hazelden is like Devil's Island. I realize they are saying he checked himself in, but I am guessing he was hardcore if he is going there.

One would think Hanks and Eastwood would have worked together before, especially since Tom Hanks now holds the Jimmy Stewart mantle in film. Though I guess Eastwood's films are all rather different to have Hanks figure in more. By contrast, Spielberg is really big on making us eat our peas and Hanks fits into that

While not literally desolate, I do find New York City a wasteland.

Search engines are not always the best. You need Lexus/ Nexus for stuff like this a lot of the time.

I have no problem with people who disagree with one's politics, but what bothers me most about situations like this is that few people have barely a cursory knowledge of the people's lives or writings that they criticize. It is all through the filter of either the media, which is naturally going to be against anyone

I think The Spy Who Loved Me is a great and, depending upon my mood, is in the Top Five. It is the first truly Roger Moore Bond, is great Grand Guignol production, has a kick-ass theme song and credits, and a beautiful Bond girl. It has the best elements of what people wanted from Bond.

I drank this weekend and I think it's been about four months since I've had a drink. My friend and I got pissed and the next day, I was a wreck.

It's funny you say that because I feel like some old duffer on my porch wondering why things aren't like the good ol' days. I used to really like this site. I found a lot of the comments led you to some great books or shows that might have escaped notice otherwise. Or the comments gave you some really interesting

I liked Grant before he got his teeth fixed.

I do not know the intricacies of the case beyond there was a tape (before it was a good career move to do such) but there was no intent. Lowe wasn't looking for jailbait and he was in a club where you had to be twenty-one to get in. So he did assume these girls were of age. Also, and I am doing all this by memory,

Simply put, if you meet her quote, she'll show up. She knows what she's getting into and knows no matter what, she'll make the news and have plenty of red meat for her book-buying base. She did a Sharknado.

I watched one (and I rarely watch the show) and the guy had a prosthetic leg. He didn't get far.

I've only seen the show like three times and it was because I was house sitting for a friend who does not have cable or Internet.

This could all just be a rumor kicked up to keep interest in the franchise going. Bond/ EON/ whatever, has a marvelous way of keeping the PR machine moving on these films. Every six months, we hear something new. A title, a girl, a director, anything to keep the name going. This is just a part of it.

Realistically, the Bond films are raking in a minimum of a billion dollars a pop, if not more. So Craig deserves a piece, though I am sure he's also getting back end pay.

In Roger Moore's defense, and I am Roger Moore's chief defendant (see his UNICEF page), he looked quite young for his age. He was 45 when be became Bond and he looked pretty great. He was also very physically fit and even knocked Lee Marvin on his ass one time. The difference is people weren't ripped back then. I

I do love a good portmanteau.
