I might be wrong but I believe the magnetohydrodynamic drive in Red October was beyond proof of concept but not yet implemented.

I think T.J. Miller is more of a media presence also, which helps with his PR. He does stand-up, he does appearances, smokes the pot on that show. Zach Woods seems rather private. I don't see him elsewhere.
Creamy cole slaw. In this case it is more a matter of what one is used to. Sad but true, I make a killer analog of KFC cole slaw and I don't care, it is wonderful. But I have made hoo-hoo slaws also with jicama and apple and hoodie-hoo and hodie-ho.
The best Bond themes do not follow the Bassey model. "Live and Let Die", "Nobody Does It Better", the instrumental On Her Majesty's Secret Service theme… "You Only Live Twice" is just lovely and ethereal. I like "All Time High" a lot, but no one else does. "A View to a Kill" I like also but like all Duran Duran songs,…
I like Dan's being pleased with himself but also touched Jonah complimented him.
When they are all seeing their film and proud of themselves, I tear up every damned time.
Yeah, the article does not capture the nuance well. Titor was on bulletin boards c. 1996 and 1998 if I recall and announced himself as a time traveler from 2036 and did people have questions.
One of his posts did say that NYC looked the same but a skyscraper was missing.
Yes, when one goes back in time, you do not go on the same timeline but a parallel one which diverges. The further back in time you go, the greater the divergence. He claimed that they could not go more than 60 years into the past because wherever he landed would be unrecognizable.
Touch of Evil was referenced as being parodied in this film. Magnolia was only mentioned due to people's disbelief that that is mentioned in the same sentence as Short Cuts.
I want to thank you. I never knew there is a Vern (short for Vernon, I presume) and that he is an outlaw. A Google search led me to his site, for which I am grateful to you.
I've always thought Bud was gay but is so busy trying to be the perfect son that he sublimates all his desires.
I'm OK with Babe because the show is in sitcom format and these characters all had lives before the show began. I mean even with two seasons, has more than six months passed? Anyhow…
I think Reservoir Dogs would have made an excellent play but was a lousy, overrated movie. I really only like Jackie Brown. I found Django Unchained to be entertaining but slight. Inglorious Basterds offended the literalist in me. Pulp Fiction is fun in your 20s but you get older and it becomes like catching a kid…
Oh, crap, I forgot Paper Moon, lol. Poor Madeline Kahn was screwed out of her Oscar® because Tatum O'Neal was put in the wrong category.
Dolly Parton did a lovely cover of it though.
I love Wes Anderson films.
I'm with you. Books are books. Plays are plays. Films are films. The only HP movie worth a damn was Cuarón's because his was the only true film adaptation. The others were merely filmed versions of the books.
Roger Ebert has Mullholland Drive in his Great Movies column. And Lynch won Best Director at Cannes. And I've seen a lot of writing on it.
