No, it’s the people who only care who is shot, not if someone is shot. Nobody is calling for gun control here. They’re cheering that someone who opposes it got shot. It’s just being a spoiled brat and nothing more, period.

I’m sure plenty of conservatives would’ve reacted like you did if Pelosi got shot. They’d be part of the problem just like you.

It already went political- in this thread. The article was smart enough not to crow about a GOP Congressman and two workers getting shot, but the commenters have made up for it.

The dirty little secret is that’s how it always was. San Francisco was friendly to the homeless and had good weather (relatively). Hippies started out as homeless street kids who’d flop together in the crime ridden areas like Haight Ashbury. They weren’t really different than the kids in The Village or London in 1977…

The big change is that you don’t have to be in Silicon Valley anymore. All the VC’s and such that run Silicon Valley have always been leeches. Now people can build a company without them, so there’s no point in playing the Valley game.

The problem is, we all overestimate ourselves in life-changing situations. I actually know (or knew at this point) a guy who won 20 million. Ahead of that, he and his wife weren’t “keep up with the Jones’” types at all. She was actually really cheap.

They’re also the ones who’ll either be dirty or abusive to minorities and such.
