It’s easy to say that, but giant flops happen in commercials, tv, movies, music, etc. all the time. I’m sure she and everybody else had good intentions but just couldn’t see the forest for the trees. Pepsi thought it had another “I’d like to buy the world a Coke”, but it didn’t understand that we’re not hippies

I don’t know that she necessarily did anything wrong. It was apparently sold to her as something helpful, and there’s no way to know on a set that the tone of the commercial is way off.

That’s what people kept saying, and then the actual voting suggested otherwise, with Trump doing slightly worse with whites and better with all other groups.

You’re just projecting all of that. There are a lot of places with school vouchers already, and not a single one has seen the protests you’re suggesting.

Because she probably got 1000 death threats. That’s the problem with this kind of story. She’s the villain of the story, but now it’s likely that other people have threatened her with violence, which is even worse.

I’ll go a step farther and say there’s no such thing as soft racism. They intend it the same way as other racists, so it’s not any softer.

Back and forth schadenfreude, day after day. Ha, those (fill in liberals or conservatives) got what they deserved for not thinking like us!

I don’t understand why tilt and swivel isn’t a part of every ground mount system. It should’ve been one of the first adaptations.

Bernie’s plan isn’t paid for by the rich. It’s mostly paid for with an 8.8% payroll tax raise from dollar one. The company pays 6.6%, but if you’re self-employed or a contract employee, your payroll taxes go from 15.3% to 24.1%.

It’s not a very good tool. It’s just google earth with the sunlight pattern added in.

The financing on them is just okay right now, and leasing them is just bad.

92% of people who buy solar systems save money over the life of it.

They help when it comes to resale, but there’s no standard as to how much. Some say 3%, but that neglects the wide range of differences in houses that use the same amount of energy.

You criticize that person, but DO THOSE KIDS HAVE A PERMIT? I THINK NOT!

I love why they did it, whether or not I love the ads. Some company has to push the envelope on sexuality, and they know it’ll be met with resistance (also known as publicity). They’re going to way more out of the shoot than if they’d done something else. The inclusiveness is as big a part of the campaign as the sex.

No, this thread is what’s ridiculous. It’s not more common for women to lie about birth control because they’re bigger liars. It’s because women take a pill in private whereas men mostly put on condoms for birth control.

You don’t know if it’s going to have implications though. Nor do you know if the father is a misogynist based on not correcting his son. And you certainly don’t know what the rest of that kid’s environmental factors will be enough to determine his feelings in 20 or 30 years. You’re projecting everything except the

That’s by far the biggest thing you hear from people. Every core character has had its origin story told 10 times, and now they’re trying to get people to latch onto new characters.

Oh sure...you’re going to end up somewhat hating what you love about each other eventually. Can’t do anything about how ANNOYING PEOPLE ARE.

Yeah, I didn’t understand why they said the video was inconclusive. He shoved the guy. He didn’t harm the guy or even go after him.
