Losing it seeing all the internet gooners acting like Mercury Morris with the champagne because this game preserved the invincibles’ record. Not like they took a casual 5-1 thrashing at Anfield a week ago.
I think this has just entered the Deadspin style guide because they know how much it gets our goat. Someone needs to create a Chrome extension that corrects this blasphemy.
Not dead AND in Manhattan?! Luckyyy
“The team is currently in the 26th year of a 40-year lease in their current building”
“Markelle Fultz Shooting Form Update: Let’s Make Fun of This 20 Year Old’s Nerve Condition!”
Really impressive heat map, knowhatimean.
META “Blog writes strange blog with unintelligible headline about other blog’s sellout ice cream blog.”
Obviously because it’s in Swedish and there are boobs on the cover?
You’re reading a blog about movies, not building the dang railroads.
It hardly snows in most of the PNW* ya bozo.
How dare you?!
I don’t disagree, but that’s besides the point I was making. The article speculated that even if Kawhi’s belief he was hurt was unsubstantiated it’s fine for him to sit if he thinks he can’t play. If he’s getting competent medical advice to the contrary by all means he shouldn’t play just because Spurs docs think he’s…
As sucky as it is, NFL contracts aren’t guaranteed and are specifically drafted to allow teams to get out from under them early without justification. This is different.
Ok, breaching the contract? If it’s “totally fine” for Kawhi to skip the season because of an incorrect belief that he’s medically unfit, then it’s totally fine for Spurs not to pay him for that season. I’m sure the contract itself has specific terms that dictate, but fundamentally one party’s subjective and incorrect…
So even if his belief that the Spurs bungled his injury was irrational and objectively incorrect it’s totally fine for Kawhi to sit out? Not saying the injury was handled properly, but a person’s incorrect subjective views would never be grounds to void a contract.
Is there a rule in the Deadspin style guide that every article about LFC use the phrase “’Pool Boys”? Legitimately never hear that anywhere else.
McCollum clearly dribbled the ball out of bounds off Plumlee’s fat foot a few minutes earlier and the nugs got it back. Ball don’t lie.
Not like you’d expect level-headed commentary from Bill Walton, but a pretty atrocious game call notwithstanding his forays into the Missoula Floods, Mozart, and Kevin Durant’s career as a film producer.
