Compared to today’s black/white/silver CUV- everything-looks-the-damn same it has loads of style. Compared to 40s-50s era, no of course it dosent.
Couter point, these were the best executed vans of the era. Mine was Van-tastic! They really should bring back a new version but undoubtedly would screw it up completely like the Blazer.
Super rad! Who made the diesel in these bad boys? Surely it wasn't an actual Ford product.
I would rather have that than the hard leather, plastic and faux metal we have today.
Everyone in this thread must be a blast at parties. Come on and lighten up, it's Torch.
Ship the diesel over and have a cheap minivan shoot out!
The last three engines left running at the end of time will be a series 2 3800, a jeep 4.0, and a ford 300 straight 6. Fight me.
Conversely, my 83 Monte Carlo SS proudly displayed its model name on a 2 ft decal down the door but only said Chevrolet on a small badge mounted on the dash.
Shhhh!
My right hand drive, japanese spec jeep xj wasn’t technically designed for here so how long before they come for it? And then you think mail delivery is slow now, wait until thousands of rural mail carriers can’t drive their jdm imported RHDs.
2nd gear. That whole deal was dumb from the start. Sure most llvs can be replaced with full electric eventually but the infrastructure just isn't there yet and we needed new delivery trucks 10 years ago.
I rely on my 300k mile 1995 jeep to deliver mail over 150 miles of rough road every day. If it breaks, I can’t work, so straight up reliability is paramount to me, number 2 is the ability to repair it quickly and cheaply if it does quit. A lot of carriers use rhd newer jk jeeps and their durability and reliability is…
Article doesn’t say his color but im going to guess his first crime was driving while black. Because cleatus soused on shine would have been let go. I don't blame any person of color afraid for their life in any interaction with the police.
Why aren’t you using the larger size filter on your xj? Small block ford filters fit and add capacity and filter media surface. I use the mobile one m1-301a filter and rotella in my 300k mail xj, it seems to like it.
Thats kinda what I was thinking. Coasters definitely have a different set of problems than a large part of the USA. I am much more concerned about deer and animal accidents than the 30 seconds a day I may have to idle at a light, the few days a week I visit a town with a light that is. Goes to show that blanket coast…
I lost it at the front view and the asymmetrical scoop. Anybody else notice the seats bolted directly to the floor sheet metal?
Or, ya know, just buy a suburban and call it good.
“You work for the post office or something?” While I’m sitting in my right hand drive jeep with my post office hat on, post office ID badge, and mail trays on the passenger seat.
A much more worthy name to be remembered than Kardashian!
