Gallipolli is one of my favorite films of all time. The ending with Jimmy going up out of the trenches immediately reminded me of the ending of Gallipolli.

I'm Bobby 5!
1917.
Too much pipeweed, obviously.
Oompa Loompas?
"Do you know what the penalty is for animal cruelty in this state!?!"
"No, sir, I don't."
"Well… it's probably pretty stiff."
Exactly.
Agreed, I thought very little about last night's episode made any sense at all.
C'mon, no, it is not even remotely plausible to think that the best way to try to survive a ZA would be to trek from Texas to D.C., across hundreds of miles of unknown territory and toward the most populated part of the country into an urban area of millions. Countless better options — mountains, remote towns,…
Wait, people find the guy who plays Abraham physically attractive? Huh, weird. (Or is this parody, my sarcasm meter is not working this morning.)
Although I never found Eugene (or Abraham or Rosita) plausible, I otherwise agree. Personally I was hoping that was exactly what was happening when they were giving Abraham his backstory, that it meant they were going to kill him off, because to me he's always been annoying as fuck, ditto the other two.
Um, maybe just a matter of taste rather than intelligence? (or do you really want to be the "oh you don't like what I like, you must be stupid" guy?) Because as I posted above, I never liked Abraham, Eugene, or Rosalita at all, found them all annoying and one-dimension, and found Glenn & Maggie's decision to go off…
Agreed — I (and I think pretty much everyone) saw the Eugene-is-a-fraud "reveal" coming a mile away. And I hate to be "that guy" who bitches about the grade, but I thought this was one of the weakest episodes of the season by far, and am shocked AVC gave it an A. I could never find any reason to care about these…
Oh c'mon, God Save the Queen FTW!
They played the trailer to Spice World in the men's room? What a great theatre!
I actually used to kinda respect Swift because she wrote her own songs, some of them pretty decent, and seemed relatively genuine and normal. Until I heard "Shake It Off." Horrible, horrible "song."
Sure I can; "co-written" by a famous entertainer and an unknown but talented real musician/songwriter means that the famous entertainer contributed a few lyrics, at best. (I suppose you'll next be telling me that John Oates, Art Garfunkel and Roger Daltrey were the real musical talents behind those acts?) Nothing…
This is a very odd piece of revisionist history. Madonna was a master at marketing and reinventing herself by copying other musical trendsetters, I'll give her that. But she largely didn't write her own songs; the words "performer" or "entertainer" would be far more accurate descriptors than "artist." And hot? …
Wow. Just wow. What color is the sky in your world?
Yup, exactly, Obama literally has claimed that he has the unilateral right to label someone, including U.S. citizens, a "terrorist," and kill him w/o any due process at all. And he's done so at least 4 times. This is fact, people. I fully expect that Snowden will end up dead in an "unfortunate accident" some day. …
