I don’t see anything wrong with this situation except the killing statement which is ridiculous and not announcing that he was a police officer.

The burning question (intentional) is WTeverlovingF do their employees do? Jesus Christ!

This is disgusting. We are willingly allowing fascism to take hold inch by inch.

I’d suggest the swerve may have been reaction to a jolt/noise. It’s possible the car didn’t even know there was a bike there in the first place and just gut reaction swerved when it happened. Can’t really tell from the video. I’ve seen enough tunnel vision drivers that if they got a hit to their vehicle coming out

yes because there’s no instance of bureaucracy in the private sector

You think private companies don’t work exactly the same way? Every single one of those statements applies equally well to large corporations, word-for-word. I write root cause analysis reports for a major telecom (Redacted Redacted & Redacted), and this is every day of my working life.

Wow, you have friends who live in New York???

Must be nice to have a job, family, and personal and social life that doesn’t require you to ever be on time to anything.

I realize that jail time is only for us poors, but how about we spread the love and share the “experience” with the “influencers” who don’t label their sponsorships? At the very least we can levy huge fines and put that money into hiring a person who walks around screaming “SHAME!” on repeat behind them.

How about stop increasing fares and cut down on bureaucratic bullshit and wasting money?

The author is assuming the reader has actually been in a NYC subway (station/train). If you have, you’ll know what he means. If not, your imagination is your friend! (think dark, filthy dungeons and cattle cars of oddballs mixed with the norms).

Defensive much? The OP wasn’t suggesting you have anything to apologize for, but rather that people who aren’t in as comfortable a position are being manipulated into treating people in your position as the enemy (and subsequently you’re being manipulated into defending your position, further separating you from

I gotta say the train operators are the absolute last people I would be blaming for systematic issues.

Look at the F train that got stuck in the subway the other day. A full F train holds 2,580 people, lets say it was (conservatively) 70% full, that is 1,860 people on the train. Let’s say 20% of the train was full of students/children/tourists who aren’t commuting to or from work, that brings the occupancy of the train

As always, Reagan fucked everything up.

The lack of infrastructure spending is a huge problem, but as you mentioned, money just can’t be thrown at it to fix the problem. Major infrastructure projects take a long time to plan, permit, and build.

This is good Gawker.

Glad to see you’re going out of your way to make sure we blame the workers.

Monsieur Nolan, you are doing the Lord’s work.
