Yeah, I think a lot of this can be attributed to the ease and low cost of repairing these “top” vehicles.

My tiny brain is unable to read an analogue clock and drive at the same time... I’m solidly in the digital clock camp.
At the point when you love your partner more than the car. Otherwise, those nasty stalls and rough shifts will tear you apart inside...
Yeah.. they did all kinds of weird things with the proportions. The massive wheels make it look like a smaller car, but the height of the doors make it look like a crossover. If you squint really hard, it could pass for a really sweet wagon at least.
Yeah I think the small front overlap crash, shown at the start of the video, is difficult to design for. Wasn’t until the last decade or so that manufactures really figured out how to keep the driver from getting smooshed.
I’m assuming that silly lightbar is removable? Otherwise, good luck fitting anything in the bed taller than a minifridge.
Yeah, having driven a MT for years, It feels weird if the car isn’t firmly planted after letting my foot off the brakes. Some automatics have quite a bit of slop in the parking gear and move like a foot after you put it in park.
Really odd that he would sell it in the first place. A conversion this crazy must have taken a lot of work... if I put that much time into something I would want to hang on to it for a while.
I totally agree, but it’s pretty obvious that they’re not going to spell out the exact technology that got them there. The published changes are only part of the story.
Yeah, as cool as it is, I would get sick of people complementing my “Challenger”.
Yeah, that tweet is pretty standard format for twitter star hopefuls. Just fishing for big retweets.
Even as a longtime Audi owner and fan, the looks of R8 never did much for me. Same for the TT. If I was going to spend a lot of money on a fast Audi, it would be on a RS5 or similar. They do the fast sedan/coupe look much better than the sports car/super car look.
they really struggled on track in 1995 and 1996, not qualifying at one point, catching fire another
Yeah.. was the same for me! Used to make me made because I thought they were being extra snarky. Only now I realize how right they were.
A steering wheel-less and pedal-less version of the Vizzion is still in its future, however, though Volkswagen says that will only happen once they can produce a version that has Level 5 autonomy, a level not requiring human participation at all.
I had a dark green ‘98 mustang in high school and college... that thing had body roll like a ship in rough seas, but I sure did like the way it looked.
