This all day long. I went to Catholic school from kindergarten through high school. I was sexually harassed regularly in public even as a very young child. I didn’t understand it until years later when I realized there is a cultural fetish for schoolgirl uniforms and sexualizing those who wear them. Not once did I

Less transgressive and more status quo. Sexualizing the trappings of underage girls has been a disgusting constant since time immemorial. But we badly want to reward ourselves and say that we’re free, even if the “trangressions” and rebellions we bring to the table are actually perfectly socially acceptable and never

I grew up in a small town, we had one public school and one private Catholic school, but we shared the same buses. I remember being a (public school) kid and thinking “wow, all of these girls must be huge Britney Spears fans to dress up like her every day.” It wasn’t until several years later that I realized I was an

But seriously, not right now.

This primarily. Hillary has legitimate reason to be angry and let it be known. It’s incredibly selfish for her to do so until after we defeat the orange menace.

Yeah, I can’t help but think that, look, Hillary Clinton did some great things in her time in public life. Not least of which was hoovering up an absolute crapload of fire from the right that might have been spread at lots of other women public figures. We all, even privileged white male gits like me, owe Hillary

Tlaib erred in booing someone whose followers she wants to support her guy. Many other Dems erred in criticizing her for lacking “unity” or whatever other buzzword we’re chasing these days. And, of course, Clinton shouldn’t be shoehorning herself into the narrative, but it seems like the modern establishment Democrats

I saw a woman respond to Tlaib’s apology thread on Twitter who called her behavior deplorable. “You realize you’d be nowhere without @HillaryClinton,”

Holy shit, I may just be done with political discourse for the day. That someone actually put their fingers to the keys to type out such inane fuckery as this. WTF. Do

Oh man. I got out of jury duty because I asked about the availability of a lactation room. The judge released me before the doctors!

But if you dont breastfeed you get "you are poisoning your baby!!!" (Not hyperbole, literally been told that). They want you to exclusively breastfeed but make it almost impossible to do at work, so that you'll stay home.

I had to pump while on jury duty, in an empty office in the municipal building and no place to clean up except the public restroom. The jury organizer person I asked about where to pump looked at me like I had a third arm growing out of my forehead.

due to the fact that we live in a society that at once underscores the all-importance of breastfeeding while treating the need to express milk as a freak event.

I am so sorry you had to endure this disrespect. If the VA treats you , a person with some street cred- on the Defense Council, etc- like this, it’s a pretty good indication that they suck bug time.

Apparently “support the troops” doesn’t extend to listening to them when they report sexual assault and harassment.

Thank you for your service, Andrea, and thank you for writing this.

I’m so sorry you had to endure this. Not being believed and being dismissed is terrible.

Maybe 10-12 years ago I went in there and the girl measured me as a 34C. I was, at that point, at least a 34DD if not higher. I hadn't been a C cup since high school. I looked around and they didn't have anything in a DD cup, so maybe she was just measuring people into sizes they sell?

They are so far removed from what they were in the 80s and 90s. Any time I walk past one now they’re virtually empty. Would be happy to see them go.

Seriously, the last time I went into VS looking for one very specific thing, the sales lady insisted on measuring me even though I just wanted to try one thing on, angrily insisted I was NOT a 36D (I sew. I know my measurements.), and then when I didn’t like the one thing I’d tried told me it was because I HAD to wear

Woooow, I can’t imagine being a big fan of someone and then having a catty throwaway comment I made featured in a documentary about how mean people made them need a mental health break. I would be mortified and feel like a total asshole! It’s just a reminder to be thoughtful in how we talk about people, even when we

I’d like to know what, if any, other countries tie health care to employment.
