I’m in the same boat - the distribution center closest to me closed down, so now i only get 1 movie a week (IF they send the new one out the day after I put the old one in the mail - they have a deal with the post office to let them know when someone returns a movie, but my post office hasn’t been doing it lately).

Yup. that’s the only thing I use the Apple TV app for - finding out where to stream movies.

Also, great for random B movies and international flicks. I’m willing to watch non-mainstream horror movies that have a decent description, and have found them on dvd netflix, and then when watching them, I see previews for other random movies that sound interesting, so I add them too.

Who throws out a working dvd player??

Are you sure?  Because I replaced both my fridge and HVAC this year (originals were bought in 2009), and so far, my electricity bills aren’t noticeably different.  Unless you mean I’ll save a couple dollars every month, in which case, see above for how much a few dollars savings means to me.
