Men were made of sterner stuff those days. It was a time when folks were more down to earth, where communities really knew each other instead of always burrying their face in some gadget or what have you.

But that would make a lot of sense. If there were two blades at 45 degrees to the original, and a crossguard, it would catch blades, not be incredibly dangerous to hold, and would protect your hand from the plasma above. Heck if there were just normal crossguard under and to the sides of the current one it would be…
All is Lost was decent. Not amazing, but pretty good. I don't know what it is about a lack of things happening that just gets movie reviewers in such a tizzy.
If you got close enough to grab onto a lava flow with an insulated mitt, would your face not still melt off?
Cause the vast majority of Jedi aint shit.
OK, holding a plasma beam in your hands wouldn't make much sense period. It would be incredibly hot and would probably melt flesh from fifteen feet.
The extended universe crossguard lightsaber was a bit more like a trident with a long blade in the middle and two going out at 45 degree angles from the side. Makes much more sense.
To be fair doing a mid air quadruple flip while holding an incredibly deadly plasma beam wouldn't be that smart either.
Now Batman Beyond would make a badass superhero movie. I feel like since Ironman this sci-fi/superhero genre has been more popular than straight superhero.
Early King Arthur definitely. King Arthur is supposed to be young and full of himself. He's like the hero of a story who discovers he is the chosen one! Except that's at the very beginning of the story and now you have a King who knows he is the chosen one asserting his superiority all over the place.
I dunno, Hunnam seems like he is a man's man. Idris Elba seems a little stiff and proper.
I liked the article on Slate, "Zoe Saldana was the real hero of Guardians of the Galaxy" in which they made the point, but also asked why she had to be rescued several times. She had to be rescued like a princess in a tower because she has arms like twigs. Getting captured is NBD for a buff person, because they must…
Yeah, and it's Steven Soderbergh. I wonder why I've literally never heard of this movie though, can she not act well? Cause buff wouldn't be the only necessary component, though I guess acting ability never held Schwarzenegger back
Personally I just long for the day when a believable badass woman is allowed to act. There are strong women everywhere you look in our society, except playing action stars. I'm not some buff guy by any means and I can guarantee you I could snap Anna Jolie like a twig, or Milla Jovovich, and definitely Kate Beckinsale.…
I'm sure that this movie is passable, and that's why I hate it. It could be "pretty good" and I would hate it. The book is great, anything short of a great movie is a failure.
I remember when he was just a good rapper, actually. It seems like a long time ago, he was just a young, fresh, smart rapper.
Can he be lose his job and reputation for being a fucking asshole?
Haters gonna hate, Mr Franco, it's what they do.
Can we PLEASE stop asking for everything to be made into a miniseries on HBO? I swear, there is not a property people like that doesn't have someone asking for it to be made by HBO. We KNOW it would be good. Get over it.
A school for really obnoxious artistic girls apparently. Learn how to destroy a band from Courtney Love and Yoko Ono!
