I was diehard DSM fan despite driving a Focus. UNTIL I met a guy in college named J who introduced me to InitialD. I love the look of the S13 Slivia and still want to own one some day. My 240 Vert came into my life because I had a coupe I wanted to make into a Silvia clone and wanted a second 240 to enjoy while I

Any time I get asked to bring a “car movie” to movie night with people (since they know I’m an insane car fanatic) I bring this movie. Everyone and thier mother has heard of the Nic Cage one, but this one is a classic.

That Maxima was owned by Craig Lieberman‘s (Technical Consultant, Owner of the Orange Supra, and the guy starting the races at Race Wars) wife. I got to chat with him about that car for my Facebook page. It was really cool to see a FWD “grocery getter” as someone’s cool car. Definitely a very cool car.

Hunt for used my man. But you need to be quick because all 90s JDM stuff is skyrocketing.

I’ll stand up and admit the impact of The Fast and The Furious. For me it was the Eclipse from the first movie. Yep, the green eclipse, not the Supra.

Ha Ha! Jokes on you! I was young and stupid and got a mortgage that drowns me and ruined my credit. I only have one car for the rest of my life, the one that I bought before graduating college. I can’t get a replacement so I’m stuck with this until it dies, then I walk.

I want to hate this answer. Like REALLY REALLY want to hate this answer but, Jesus, you make a well reasoned argument. Have your star.

Was it a manual? The 4F27E transmission took my 2002 2.0 Zetec from 130 at the crank to 98 at the tires.

2002 Ford Focus ZX5. Factory rated at 130hp. Not a ton but fairly good for the time. But wait, this is a Umoja Post so you KNOW there is more to the story.

BREAKING NEWS: Internal Combustion Engine running alternative fuel sounds exactly like Internal Combustion Engine running regular fuel.

The ONLY reason I didn’t post a Honda interior is because I’ve never driven a Honda. I’ve ridden in one with the split dashboard, and I’ve been in a 93 Civic DX but the only thing I remember was the speedometer being maxed out and sparks flying when we went over the bridge expansion joint. Fun car. Had an integra B18

Clean, simple, uncluttered dash with thin pillars, low cowl, and big greenhouse?

I can see the effect of the Jeep Cherokee on the SUV landscape. I do believe that it could be considered the “First stone cast” at the Sedan wall. But, and correct me if I’m wrong, it always felt as more of a niche product compared to the Explorer. I remember friends family having them in the mid 90s and feeling like

You are technically correct here but it’s a case of convergent evolution. The Eagle didn’t lead to anything. The Unibody Crossover was “re-invented” later on based on the 90s Body on Frame SUVs and a hunt for better “refinement”.

Didn’t really read the article, just have to ask, Who the hell names their kid “People-Man”?

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say the first generation Ford Explorer. Why? Because that’s the vehicle that really told the American public that SUVs were a good replacement for their family sedan, that AWD was absolutely REQUIRED even if you live in downtown Phoenix AZ, and lead us to a word were everything

The question is if it’s so easy to put a sensor in the passenger seat to disable the airbag when a lower than adult weight is detected, then it should have been considered for the driver’s seat to detect the presence of a driver before auto drive is activated.

Setting yourself on fire accidentally reminds me of Welding class in high school. We had a classmate Adam Barge. Adam loved his JNCO jeans and they were always frayed.

I love my 240SX Convertible. I also love watching the MotorWeek Retro Review of it. “It’s nice, but a Miata is better. In the end it looks nice but it’s a dog.”

I see it as once electric cars become the dominant form of road vehicle, service stations will start to replace the gas pumps with electric charging stations when they go through the decade or so update that the major chains seem to follow.
