Cloth tops on convertibles are usually a rubber backed heavy duty canvas and are multiple layers. Unless those roll bars have knives on them, getting through that canvas would not be easy. A vinyl pane, or a section of glass would be easier to go though, as the vinyl rear windows will stretch then tear and a glass…

Possibly more than $0.50 once you factor in the labor to connect 2x as many buttons to the harness plus the extra few inches of wiring, and the labor programming the car to recognize either button alone.

ASC. As a 240SX Convertible owner, ASC means RUN. You will NEVER find any of the convertible specific parts for the car. So you’ll have to 3D print them or get really really good at finding them in junkyards.
