I think one difference is that Checo isn’t as fast as Ricciardo (Perez was outqualified every year by Hulkenberg, who in turn was beaten by Ricciardo; Perez was beaten by Ocon in ‘18, but Ricciardo thrashed Ocon in 2020, etc). On the other hand, he probably knows that. He’s obviously competitive (see his years with

I bought a 2008 FJ Cruiser back in 2013 on Ebay. Didn’t have the power to tow my dirt bike trailer so I decided to trade it in. About 3 years ago, five years after I bought it, I got what I paid for it when I traded it for a used Tundra. Basically drove it hard for 5 years and put about 40K miles on it for free. I

I am leasing a 2021 TSS 2wd for $119/month. Insane value.

It’s the question lots have asked, and in my opinion the answer is pretty simple. That was never (is not) the ethos of the GT86/BRZ/etc. It’s a light weight handling focused, balanced car. Not a race car, not a track car. It’s for 8/10th back road carving. A hard top Miata alternative.

I just imagine the GR Yaris grabbing the wrists of the GT86 and smacking them into it’s face while saying “stop hitting yourself, stop hitting yourself!”

Obligatory:

I think you forgot a comma on the used vehicle price. There aren’t enough.

The e38 is just so beautiful...

I know crash standards would make older BMW designs an impossibility these days, but at the same time, I feel like there is a way to incorporate much of what made past BMWs so attractive. No, they won’t be the same as in the past, but this is just too much. It also seems BMW cares more about just headlights than the

Shoulda put /s but that’s some good, reasonable numbers.  Now all I have to do is keep my job so I can afford it.

i always think this is kind of silly. 8 years or 100k miles for the power train is required by the state of California (so it applies everywhere else). IIRC that exceeds a majority of ICE warranties on new cars.

True. ICEs have thousands of moving parts that, these days, are mostly plastic that’s designed to break after 5 years. (I know this makes me sound jaded, but it’s true.) EVs do not. And the thing that drives me insane is people like my stepfather who don’t drive enough to complain about range. He works from home, and

That is a delightful palette cleanser - like the finest sorbet melting on the tongue. BMW’s designers should have their eyelids forced open with toothpicks and be forced to stare at that picture for a month or two.

There is no direct predecessor to this car. It’s below where the LaFerrari sat but above the rest of their current lineup. Current lineup in ascending order for when you win the lottery:

Seriously! I actually wrote a post/article about this way back when the LC500 concept debuted... You get the sense that he’s only being held back by the constraint of running a profitable business, or else he’d be trying to make hot versions of everything.

Maybe these RAV4 buyers didn’t know that they could get an interesting car instead.”

Now just add the UV interior light package, and you’re set.

Exactly this.

They’re about to sell a lot more of these in California.
