It's one of those albums that could benefit from a stronger controlling hand; someone to say that not every song has to go on quite as long or have those extended bridges. "Shoot Me Again" would be thirty times better if some of the repeated chorus lines were junked right out, for example. It's got a lot of potential

I'm probably a rarity in that I quite enjoy St. Anger, but I found Death Magnetic their worst album by far; it felt very same-y, very laboured, more like a band trying to sound like Metallica than the actual Metallica. Given that I couldn't enjoy it enough to pick it up, is this one gonna be worth trying?

The Frogs. We've been having buffoonish squabbles over self-importance at the expense of civic well-being for millennia and we're all still here. Except for Euripides, the loser.

I stopped watching this show at the end of season five, out of sheer boredom, but my main gripe with it at the time was the fact that Glenn seemed the most superfluous character on god's green earth; the fact that it took this long to get rid of him seems almost sadistic.

I've had that The Transformers: The Movie poster on my wall for years now. Love it. I'm also partial to this poster for Manhunter too; the block colours definitely help convey the film's style really well.

Or, in Feldmanese, 2B Fare.

I find it hard these days not to equate Feldman with his loser-skeeve character in Bordello of Blood, to be fair.

Wait did I miss something or was there not a single Zappa record here?

Every Slayer album I own is a burnt CD given to me by a friend and they're all either two full albums or the majority of two albums with what he considered chaff removed. I genuinely don't know what songs are on what album properly to this day.

Well, I guess I'm officially too old for bands I like to keep making music.
