Oh, I have no delusions of how buggy Bethesda games are, I played Oblivion, FO3, New Vegas and Skyrim on console! But I was willing to play the ultra buggy console versions of their games because they were well written, fun and had many ways to play. ‘76 doesn’t even have the benefits of quirky NPCs to cover it’s

Maybe this makes me a bad person, but at this point I’m just following Fallout 76 news for the entertainment value.

Joke’s on you, I already HAVE a copy of Fallout on a private server, with unlimited storage and NPCs, that looks just like this. It’s called Fallout 4.

Don’t be racist, sexist, ableist, or trans/homophobic. That’s pretty much the list. If you can’t make people laugh without being any of those things, maybe the problem isn’t the culture that surrounds you?

I bought a PS4 once I played with the Vantage controller. The PS layout is too cramped for me, the right stick is in the better position for switching between buttons and analog and the left stick favors analog.

Symmetry is overrated.

Yes, I prefer the Xbox layout, and yes, I tend to purchase more games on the Xbox

Haven’t read yet, just wanted to say: You’ve done it again, Jason. This is the kind of investigative journalism that we need in the gaming industry, and you continue to hit home.

Private servers, NPCs, they’re heading in a direction where I’d actually play the game.

GRIMJACK GRIMJACK GRIMJACK!!!

Euthanize this game. Give the body to the modders––they’ll know what to do.

It’s Joe, not Jon.

how about putting in a great story campaign and offline play? no? then bethesda isnt getting any of my money.

Can we just not give this guy the attention he apparently so badly craves?

I sure wish I didn't have to be a dude to be a Jedi.

Finally, a video that belongs on Deadspin.

I am the first to make snarky comments when people complain about remakes...

I really liked the “my larynx fell out” as a gag to explain the switch from Fillion to Tudyk.

I think the Michelle Pfeiffer aging was semi-explained by Tony’s “1 in a billion” or whatever about quantum time travel working out - he didn’t age for 5 years because quantum! She did age because quantum! Doesn’t make sense? Well, it’s because you’re a moron who doesn’t understand quantum mechanics! Read a book!

That’s the sound of the font police.

Schreier, I will always appreciate your deep-dives into the less glamorous sides of this hobby and the industry that supports it. While most of Kotaku’s articles are (and probably should be) focused on the games themselves, it’s incredibly important that we never lose sight of the human cost incurred in the production
