I disagree. I don't want to see a fancy parade. I want to see these things in action.

Any doubts about how hard they race them are hushed by an incident like this. Jochen Mass was racing for real. They'll fix those two, and be back at it soon.
That they can run these cars so hard over 12 hrs is a testimony to the teams that engineer, build and drive these cars. I like that the lessons learned by the 911's and Corvette's go right into their street cars. I own a ZR1 & a Z06/Z07 because of that. I'm sure it sells many 911's as well.
Tony has a good point. But he has to mind his P's & Q's. He can't afford anything resembling a fight during or after a race.
I'll bet Ferrari couldn't get that car to him fast enough.
The most ridiculous finish I ever saw, was the Daytona 500 1990. There was a chunk of bellhousing in turn 3. We could all see it, but Dale Sr. was ahead & they wanted him to win desperately (ending his D500 jinx), so the caution was not thrown. Dale ran over it & Cope won.
If Edmunds is going to get a long term car, why give them an old early production car? Without inspecting the damaged parts, how can EM dismiss the issues as a over proactive service dept? I saw the list service list of that car, and 9 trips to the service garage is an unacceptable number. I love the car, but all…
The Chevy SS has a 415 hp LS3 with an available T56 trans. It also has GM's Magnetic Ride Control & Performance Traction Management. It's the only car that's anywhere near the Cup car layout. The Mustang & Camaro are represented in the Xfinity series.
According to Wikipedia, it's AWD capable.
Sebring will destroy a car. It tore up the transaxle in my ZR1, 15 minutes at 7/10's was all I'd let my Z06/Z07 go through. If any track needs resurfacing, it's Sebring. I won't go back.
So much for due process. NASCAR over reacted in a big way.
It's $120k with the PDK. Add the adjustable suspension, some creature comforts (better seats, stereo), add the $9k carbon ceramic brakes and the cost spins up to $160k in a hurry. I think for $120k, I shouldn't have to pay for a full leather interior, decent seats and a good audio system, bluetooth, etc. Damn near…
I used to find it hilarious at the amount of clothes my Wife has. Clothes for different seasons, color match shoes and handbag, the makeup. I always appreciated that she looked nice no matter where we went. I can go clothing shopping for a few years of clothes online in 10 minutes. Jeans, T-Shirts, skivvies, socks &…
It's drag racing. There's plenty of run off. A set of Cobra calipers and rotors can be found at any junkyard for $400. $250 rebuilds them and adds yellow stuff pads. Plenty to stop in the runoff area.
Anyone have a link to the YT video?
And you don't have to deal with eBay surprises. These cars & the parts are local to everyone in the lower 48. I built mine for $7700. It runs high 10's and has survived thousands of 1/4 mile trips
Find a 4 or 6 cyl Mustang from '85 - '93 for $500. Throw away the interior, glass & drivetrain. There are so many cheap, used, but well made go fast parts, you will have a hard time deciding. A used 408 stroker will easily make 500 bulletproof HP for less than $2k. A modded C4 with a transbrake $2k. A lightweight K…
There are programs that will (if you're to lazy to proofread) correct most of the glaring grammatical errors in this poorly written article. This is just frustrating to read.
I'm calling this one BS. The GTO was made in '04-'06, three model years. Barely 30k were sold in total, 32.7%?, not a chance. Camaros & Mustangs don't even appear?
I strongly agree. The C2 hardtop (particularly w/ side pipes, knockoffs, and stinger hood) is the most beautiful sports car the USA has ever produced. The proportions, lines are just amazing. They had great drivetrain options, a lightweight high revving small block on up to the brutal L-88 in it's final year.
