Watch this first. It's pretty funny in its own right, but Mr. Show is so much better. It almost made it hard for me to watch because, even though I knew that it probably wouldn't be as good, I still wasn't used to watching this crew without laughing my ass off.
Meh, it was a little less funny. I wasn't expecting it to be Mr. Show, and it definitely wasn't. One notable difference was that Mr. Show usually had the sense to end a sketch before it stopped being funny, but these ones are dragging on long after the joke has been established. I would watch Cube by Duncan Jones in a heartbeat. Elephant by Richard Linklater, too, if it had a good Bernie sort of feel.
Didn't know that, but it just comes off as "King of the Commode" to my ear.
The miniseries is a bit better in letting the story develop and staying true to the original, though it has a kind of a cheap SyFy channel feel to it. With a little more money and a director with a vision, it could be awesome.
