Second gen Montero’s are in fact better than first gen. More advanced 4x4 system, internal hubs, SR’s have rear locker. What the hell does “traditional 4WD system” mean? You do know that a 2nd and 3rd gen have 2H-4H-4L-and open center diff 4WD.

You would spend $5-7 THOUSAND dollars on wheels, a lift, and bumper? Good Lord, are the wheels and bumper going to be Gold-plated? Those 3 things would add up to $3,000 maximum.

Yeah, it’s actually good articulation. Pretty impressive for a stock truck. I have a problem thinking about performance vs price though. For $50K+ I would want to be able to just walk over stuff.
