I came the closest I've come to quitting this show when, at the beginning of the episode, Montoya dramatically declares "WE GOT HIM" after interviewing a random homeless person who claims to have seen Gordon shoot Cobblepott with absolutely no evidence whatsoever.

Honestly, this is how the show was originally pitched back in early 2013 (as an adaptation of Gotham Central) but they changed it into a prequel series at some point. I suspect it was to differentiate it from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
