ok, but these are prototypes (probably very late prototypes, but still prototypes none the less). this system isnt even coming out till next year, so i think it's a bit too soon to be getting worked up over this. I am sure this will be a non-issue with the retail hardware (ps- add a damn ethernet port please!)

i got an invite, but i am not thrilled about the idea of COD elite.

you're not alone. my pile of half finished games brings me shame. there simply isn't enough time in the day my friend.

i wouldn't be surprised if the tablet makes up like 40-50% of the overall cost of the Wii U system. My gut feeling is we'll see a $399 or so launch price.

So it seems pretty likely that the Wii U will only support a single Wii U tablet controller. If this is the case, i can imagine the Wii U catching a lot of flak from the die-hard fanboys of the other 2 platforms.

Bravo, good sir.

God i wanted a Neptune when those spy pictures were in all the gaming magazines...

I wonder how much this will affect the retail price....

I don't think its BluRay for one reason - licensing fees. My guess? Slightly modified HD-DVD based format. Perfect to stem piracy (can you find an hd-dvd-r drive? media?) unless/until someone exploits the system software for usb loading...

My kingdom for an Advance Wars title for 3DS....

Honestly? I find myself easily hyped up and very positive about all the news. Don't let the haters take away your enjoyment. We are gamers, this is our time of the year to really get into what we love. So far i've found things to enjoy from ALL the press conferences.

$249? Time for me to eat crow/whatever. They *must* be eating a lot of the cost.... but damn, suddenly i'm thinking ill be getting a vita for xmas.

oh please oh please be a version of Tetrisphere! I actually purchased an n64 for Tetrisphere back in the day lol

$399. Any cheaper and I will be shocked.

whoa.... this looks pretty rad! I hadn't heard of this title till now, but I am totally interested now.

I dont understand what there is to "test" regarding the welcome back package. ("You may have noticed that the content promised as part of the Welcome Back offer is not yet live. It is currently in the final stages of testing and will be available to download soon; we’ll be sure to let you know when. " - as per Sony)

Have you considered craig's list? both for searching for a job, and also to possibly post offering up any skills you may have for odd jobs? it may not be much, but it could net you a little income while keeping you busy (less time to dwell on NOT having a full time job).

oh man, this is most welcome news!

THIS! I was mildly let down with Brutal Legend for this reason. The demo was rather fun to play, but the RTS curve-ball it threw me was just odd. Mostly bummed because this was a day 1 purchase for me after playing the demo (my thinking was something like this... "Jack Black? Tim Schafer? Metal?! SOLD!"

i feel this is a terrible idea, but unfortunately people will pay for it. Anyone want to bet COD 2012 will require this?
