Not necessarily. On my old base there was a mixture of Marines and civilian MPs. Many times you’d see a Police car drive by and there would be one civilian MP and one Marine MP riding along together.

18,000 without power! Wow. That tether cable is probably massive. Who knows how high up the blimp was when it broke free. With a maximum altitude of 10,000 feet. That’s a lot of cable to drag around.

Military Police are pretty much just like regular Police except they usually work on base. They also frequently respond to incidents that occur off base that involve military personnel. Or like in this case, going to secure potentially classified military hardware dragging a huge cable through the Pennsylvania…
