H. JON Benjamin

Greatest warrior ever. No modifier necessary.

It's a challenging job, for sure. Hard to pull together a cast that reflects our diverse society while addressing studios that prefer the standard, mostly-white selection we've become so used to.

It's a lot of hypotheticals, but if the rest of the cast were POC, I'd be fine with it.

If you like. His kids in the sequel can be a different ethnicity, as well.

Why do you doubt it?
You can cast any of the gods as any ethnicity in this story. The whole idea is that they've changed over time. Cast an Asian-American as Thor. Cast a Latina as Ra. It's all good.

Not predominantly ANY specific ethnicity would be a good use of diversity. As it stands, the majority is white. That's not especially diverse.

Oh, be nice.

I'd be OK with either of them being played by a POC, yes.

Their origins don't necessarily indicate the ethnicity of the actors playing them. I was hoping more than one black guy and one black woman among the first six announced cast members.

Didn't the showrunners brag about the diversity they'd be bringing to the "American Gods" cast? So far, we've got mostly white folks…

I am unimpressed by this non-John Lithgow person.

I think she took Leonard's.

C'monnnn baby taking both of their last names…. no whammies no whammies no Patriarchy no whammies no whammies…

He's Canadian, actually.

Dr. Ken is still a thing?

Excited to see a positive portrayal of a male primary caregiver. Bring it on!

"Dreadful"?! Oh, it's ON!

I believe one half of that role has already been cast, right…?

Maybe a two-picture deal with Disney?
Maybe she plays "Captain Marvel" next?
