Tales of Symphonia was such a pleasant surprise. I went into the game with no expectations whatsoever, and the game friggin' blew me away. I feel like I've played enough RPGs by now that I can see plot twists coming a mile away, but the game did a great job of constantly surprising me. Can't wait to revisit and see…
There is nothing stupid and arbitrary about this. I feel the same way. At this point, I've played all but XI. When XIV came out, I jumped on it, knowing that I had to strike while the iron was hot. Now that I've cut my teeth on an MMO, I feel like I need to play XI before the servers eventually go down, but…
Glad to hear it! The game really is a blast to play. I'm new to MMO's, so I don't have much to compare it to, but my time in Eorzea has been a ton of fun so far. And the community has been pleasant to far, too...I only had one poor dungeon experience, but I guess that just comes with the territory.
I did get a little misty eyed when DQ8 used the "Heavenly Flight" song from DQ3.
I love DQ7 to pieces, but it's definitely a tedious game. The remake promises to eliminate a lot of that. I hope for both of us that it gets released here!
I feel your pain! I've had that happen to me with other PS1 games. I would be completely demoralized if my DQ7 save was corrupted. As much as I enjoy that game, the prospect of starting from scratch seems pretty daunting.
I hear you. I wanted to love DQ IX. I did. But something about it felt off. At first, I thought it was just sort of a letdown because VIII was so incredible, and IX felt like a step back. But I feel like it's more than that...it was just missing that DQ charm I've grown to love, you know?
If you want a game that's going to keep you occupied for a long, LONG time, DQ VII is your game. It's probably not the most user friendly DQ game, and certainly has moments of tedium (you don't actually have a single battle in the first 2 hours), but I'd say overall it's one of my favorites. It will easily take 100+…
I sort of think that dropping the Woods name at this point won't affect sales too much. My guess is that consumers already know whether or not they want to play a simulation style golf game (well, at least it's tried to be a simulation). He hasn't really been the major selling point in recent years. EA was pumping…
Feeling down because Sephiroth just impaled your love interest? Sounds like somebody could use a fruit basket!
You know, now that I think about it...the scene is only triggered if you're not able to save Cid on the island (which I never seemed to be able to do). If you don't, here's what happens:
I have no idea where I got waterfall from. I'm thinking the cliff she jumps off of, as soon as you hit the World of Ruin. Looks like it's time for me to replay FF6 again. :)
I'm with you on this 100% And while I haven't played FF6 on GBA, I know for sure that if I didn't hear lines like "son of a submariner!" I'd be totally freaked out.
But...but...but...with no more Blockbuster stores, where will we go to print off Pokemon photos???
One of the things I absolutely love about the game is the superb writing. As tempting as it is to rush though NPC monologues, it's totally worth slowing down and reading what these people have to say, because there are some laugh out loud moments. Also, I completed the "Ain't Nobody Got Time For Rats" levequest…
WHY ISN'T EVERYONE STARRING THIS COMMENT???
