I was a tech when they first came out. We all complained that they looked like bug eyes and the public agreed. Then I was told by an engineer that they designed them that way to help reduce wind noise. The bubble eyes bumped the air up and over the side view mirrors...

Good for him. IMHO, he should be promoted to host Top Gear with Sabine and Joey. Extra Gear and the web shows can be left for Rory, not that he's bad or anything. I know, you can never have too much Harris, but I imagine he will be stretched pretty thin between FOUR shows...
