Andrew, I know that the old Google Wifi hardware works with the new Nest Wifi hardware, but do you happen to know if there’s any performance loss if I were to combine the two? I guess if I were to ask it another way...does the mesh system as a whole only work as well as the weakest link?

Agreed...accuracy and ethics in reporting are not unrelated. While the article is obviously not "objective reporting," using "your Android phone is..." reeks of intentional rabblerousery (tm my new word).
