Wasn’t there some story years ago of an American who got sentenced to lashes for graffiti and chewing gum in Singapore and it was this big thing? Sorry. I can’t feel bad for dumb people who go to other countries and act like assholes. No one else on that trip was arrested.

I donno. I would totally go. But his mistake wasn’t in going. It was in breaking the rules while a guest in a foreign country. None of the other people on that trip ended up in a coma/dead.

I am an RN. And this is true. I think it’s because we break our backs lifting and moving them. There is no increase in personnel to help as patients get bigger and bigger so nurses just get resentful of the patients themselves.

I always feel self conscious going somewhere right after work in my scrubs because I know people feel this way but I work in an office and have almost no face to face patient interaction (it’s all phone triage and scheduling procedures). Not everyone in scrubs is carrying around c-diff on their shoes.

God I can’t imagine no women showing up to where I work. I’m a nurse. I wonder how I can show support without putting any lives at risk.

I agree with your analysis wholeheartedly. There’s waaayyy too many people who know the right words to use but never examine their actions to see if they line up with what they profess to believe.
