Swift has been giving away millions to charity for years. While it’s at odds with her camera loving ways, most of her charity is pretty low key and it rarely leaks out to the public. I don’t doubt that her publicist is behind the sudden attention to her long charitable ways, but I also think the media is covering it…

There is no entertainer more obsessed with crafting her image than Beyoncé, yet everyone worships her like she’s royalty, but Taylor Swift doing the same is suddenly a horrible person hiding some dark secret?

I live near RI (not far from her home here) and she donates money and visits the hospitals (Hasbro especially) a lot, and has been for years. It’s never publicized. The only reason I know about it is because a friend’s son was in and out of hasbro for a few years and would see her occasionally.

She’s always been really generous with charities though. Maybe they’re publicizing it more now for that reason, but it’s not new.

I don’t care why she is throwing much needed $ to Louisiana. You do you Taylor!
