I’m a web dev manager, and I find it inconceivable that this big a redesign has been done without any user input (and if there has been any, it’s obviously not included any regulars to AVC). For God’s sake, before doing drastic redesigns, you test it on your users - that’s just common sense these days

Good point: animated GIF’s. Instead of loading 7 comments at a time and allowing animated GIFs, how about loading 1000 and NOT allowing them. Movies take more bandwidth than text.

I understand that you cannot go back to the way it was, but my suggestion to improve Kinja is to change Kinja as a whole so that it functions like the old site exactly.

Fuck you AV Club. The new site sucks and (more importantly) the new comments section is fucking deplorable. One of the biggest draws to this site is the thoughtful and hilarious discussion in each post and you officially shot that all to shit with this new ‘upgrade’.
