I keep looking at sports sites expecting to read that Hoke and Brandon have been canned. It's some serious deja vu after doing exactly the same thing three weeks ago for Roger Goodell.

For the first time, I feel like I would enjoy football more if I had no idea how it works.

Ultimate responsibility for the health and safety of our student-athletes resides with each team's coach and with me, as the Director of Athletics. We are committed to continuously improving our procedures to better protect the health and welfare of our student-athletes.

Brian Cook of mgoblog says he knew about the concussion from the medical staff this morning. Brady Hoke did not. Dave Brandon hung Brady Hoke out to dry in order to try and save his own skin.

The immediate changes that need to be made start with the firing of Brady Hoke. He should be fired for the actions that took place on Saturday and then his ridiculous comments about it that have followed. That's the right thing to do.

Really only one way to describe releasing THAT statement at 1 a.m.: Chicken shit.

Seems like Brandon is committed to going down with Hoke's ship, and he'll likely defend him to the end.

Can you take a page from the Ravens dissecting apart the OTL report (even though that one is actually true, unlike this), and do this with Brandon's post? There's literally nothing believable about this. And it came out at 1am?

This is a good comment. But I'm a nerd so I'll ruin it.

"After further review, it has been determined that the ball carrier was not facing Mecca at the time of his celebration; therefore the penalty stands."

I feel like this is the kind of thing that we need to check out in ALL venues. Because I can't imagine it'd be exclusive to Washington.

How does he exactly "go off the rails" in his argument again? He is right on point with his argument and I fail to see where and how you guys disagree with him? I feel like maybe you don't understand what he is trying to accomplish because I see him pointing out the irony of it all and calling out everyone involved.

They barely called them out. If anything, it was lip service. They want the appearance of being on the right side of history without actually taking any steps to demonstrate their stance. If they were serious about the NFL being against their company culture and moral code, they'd be ending their sponsorship. The idea

Radisson seemed mainly pissed off that nobody at the Vikings called to say, "Would you guys mind if we don't use your logo while dealing with Peterson beating his two kids that weren't already beaten to death?" Cause they might have said, "We might not need that sort of publicity. Go with the blank wall."

Except Verizon and Ford really don't make extra money when someone texts and drives. A-B gets stinkin rich off Daddy who grabs a 12er after a shift at the plant and goes on a drunken warpath every night at home.

Anheuser-Busch didn't even threaten to cut off their sponsorship. If after all the NFL has been associated with the past several years (dog fighting/killing, sexual assault, DUI, manslaughter, murder, domestic assault and child abuse), the sternest NFL sponsors will do is "suspend" their sponsorship (Radisson -

I don't think he's saying the situation isn't getting the media attention it has long deserved. I think he's just saying Budweiser has caused more damage to women than Ray Rice or an elevator railing.

Respectfully, Kevin, you missed Arian Foster's point; he IS talking about why domestic violence is all of a sudden a concern for Anheuser-Busch. He's pointing out that what looks on the surface (barely) like a genuine moral objection is in fact a marketing ploy.

You're ripping on him why? Every tweet he had was valid

But his initial point is completely true and pretty important.

Don't count out Lviv just yet. You're greatly underestimating Putin's desire to have Russia host the Winter Games twice in an eight-year span.
