A liability? Rick Hendrick and Jeff Gordon would obviously disagree. His use of a racial slur during an iRacing event last year was absolutely horrible and he was rightfully punished for it. However, you act (in both this comment and your article) as if that was just one example out of many. What else has he done?

They didn’t say that Kurt Busch is staying with or returning the team. He hasn’t announced his plans, but Justin Marks said both he and Ross Chastain would be considered (if interested). The only driver for certain who will be with this team next year is Daniel Suarez. The other seat is currently open for 2022. The

Please excuse the crudity of this model as I didn’t have time to build it to scale.”

Laguna Seca or Fuck off. (I know the answer)

I liked Faust and Wood quite a bit, even that annoying comedian grew on me after a while. Too bad it didn’t continue as their chemistry was finally starting to work

...and Velocity which took over Speed.

I probably should. If nothing else, it’s nice to see them still voluntarily working together to show that the chemistry on screen was real, unlike a Mythbusters situation.

Fans of the Rutledge, Tanner and Adam should check out their YT channel: Speedy, Beardy and The Mole. It’s pretty great, and will get you watching old episodes again.

Hard pass, especially if Dax Shepard is in it. And Rob Corddry? He’s super funny but is he really that hard up for work?

Still don’t know why Rut, Adam, and Tanner were dumped. If you want to bring Top Gear USA back, you need those three. They were as close as America was ever going to get to the holy British trio.

So how is this different than the old TGA? If that one didn’t succeed with Tanner Foust, Rutledge Wood and Adam Ferrara, who I thought had great chemistry, why will this one?

Exactly this. It’s a shame they were dropped.

+1

So I have been watching this but only because I have my Supra on Hagerty Insurance and Hagerty is giving MT subscriptions. If they didn’t I wouldn’t pay for the MT channel. Too many services to subscribe to, I’m not adding another. The guys are all likeable and are funny together, but the shows are too short. Also the

Exactly my sentiment too.  Just when the chemistry was set and the shows were getting really good they ended up cancelling it.  If they had stuck it out longer then they could have had something really special.

Even the first Top Gear USA was on history or discovery channel(can’t remember) but you could watch it free, with ads, online

Agreed. I also really liked the original American one and thought they really hit their stride and had a good chemistry. Adam’s “flying Cadillac” bit is still one of my top 10 favorite TV moments ever.

Wants me to give it a chance?

Their issue won’t be comparison to the British original, it will be to the American original, which went unmentioned here. By the second season Rutledge, Adam and Tiny Dancer had already developed a strong chemistry and style that was notably different than OG Top Gear.

I don’t object to the premise of this particular article, and certainly some people suffered unnecessarily for the common good of the highway system. I’d have a very hard time accepting an argument that the way city highways were built was fair or just.
