Not gonna happen. Too much golf and amazing weather here for the area to die.

Going through the corkscrew backwards does sound terrifying. Please tell me it was being run clockwise (doubtful) and not someone got turned around and went down the corkscrew in reverse.
Definitely some truth in that. Many sports suffer from that as well but the difference is you can still see everything from your seat. The track’s a bit bigger and with cameras all over anymore, you can choose what you want to see and at what time during the event, provided it’s broadcast.
The tracks have to be that far away because of noise. Then urban sprawl moves closer to the track, complains about track, then track shuts down. Science.
Not entirely true that it’s free. A $10 donation is requested. But it was worth it for a picture of a 907 and a 959 together.
I’m in front of the Michelin booth. No pink pants.
Why noon? There’s waaaay too much stuff going on and I’m heading there first because it starts first. After that, it’ll be nearly impossible to deal with traffic heading to Carmel.
I’ll say the car you’ve lusted over for years and you’ve never seen in before in person. That’s what makes my day. Playing NFS back 20 years ago, I had never seen a Ferrari F50 in person. Got to see one in Carmel on Tuesday. I’m still waiting on the Isdera, XJ220 and a few others. But when I do see that car I’ve been…
Pro tip: If you go everywhere (Quail, MRLS) at night you can pretty much walk around and see anything and everything for free. I’ve been doing this for the last 3 years and have yet to be questioned.
If you don’t sneak around at night, you miss a ton of awesome.
Here’s something I saw for the first time at the Concurs at Carmel today:
It’s also like $160.
But then someone shows up with one of these with 1/4 of the miles. See what I did there? No? Good.
They burned it out you could say.
Dammit! More stuff I want to do this week. Porsche Werks, Quail in general and now seeing my NFS dreams come to life.
It was their second child and they’ve made a Supra work, so cheers!
You know if we stopped procreation right now, we’d be extinct. That procreation thing is kinda the meaning of life. To continue the existence of the species. Maybe you missed that.
Congrats.
With the levels he had, he shouldn’t have even been in the race.
18 is far too few when you account for most race events are a weekend, so that’s 6 events essentially. Plus people like me enjoy our HPDE days and would prefer to run the car harder after turn 5.
