Didn't Dan Harmon at one point say he would make the movie even if he could not get any of the actors and had to do it all with paper mache? Or something along those lines? I would be okay with that :)

The whole trial was a joke, the judge didn't even know the difference between a bit and a byte which is grade school level computer knowledge (or should be, I hope to hell schools are teaching kids about computers these days.)
