What is the point of the game?

I *think* none of you have played (or remember playing) Dune 2 on Megadrive back in the day. Ofc this was available for Amiga but the megadrive controls worked. One of, if not the, first rts games. That was was amazing as a kid. Wonder how HW2 holds up to that kinda fun. Or should I just wait till the Warcraft 3…
