You could have chosen to say nothing, and instead you penned this open letter bullshit and hit publish.  I guess you were looking to get yelled at today.

That moustache is sincere, not ironic.  Idles are a pretty post-irony band.

Hell yeah.

I kind of felt the same way at first but repeated listens (and seeing them live twice) kind of changed my mind.  The going for the cheap seats also reminds me of mid 90's CA hardcore or pop punk like Pennywise, and that was the soundtrack to my high school years so I’m a sucker for it.

Now playing

Based on this list it seems neither of you listened to the new IDLES record. You really should, it whips ass. Here’s the first track off the new record, the 2nd part will blow your hair back.

You should read the blog post.

Guess you didn’t read it?

I just listened to the Dollop’s episode on McCain so I’m extra appreciative of this comment.

They sound stupid as hell, but the FOAK are straight up street brawlers and could be actually pretty dangerous because they attract the former (and current) skins and other aryan brotherhood types with the prison ink and a working knowledge of making shivs.

What rules is that the same people who are mourning this guy are probably cheering the Border Patrol shooting tear gas at children, because above all else, the rule of law and borders must be maintained.

I know, it’s weird right?

The “alien tarantula thing” is just his hair what are you trying to say here.

I did! (well the WBUR one, I’d already seen the Vox one).  And while I can understand that some folks are glad to do it, the fact that the overriding theme seems to be “hey, at least I’m not stuck in here today”, and making fighting fires with shoddy, hand me down equipment and minimal training seem like a better

Imagine believing that being given the opportunity to leave a cell to risk your life fighting fires is a “choice”.  It’s not a choice, it’s just that they feel it’s preferable to die in a fire trying to save stranger’s homes, rather than being locked up 23 hours a day.  The exclusion of prisoners in the 14th amendment

Because I’ve been wearing a hat all day and I have curly hair and if I take off the hat my hair looks like the butler from the Addams Family, and no one needs to see that?

I really don’t understand why wearing hats indoors is at all a problem.  I was always told it’s “rude” or whatever, but never told why.  Why is it rude?  What is it implying that makes it rude?  Just seems like a vestige of a prudish past that we need to move past.

Except sadly, as people convicted of a felony, they can’t be hired as firefighters once they get out.  This is the face of modern day slavery in America.

Bring back Maury Compson.

You kind of learn to recognize their style, but it takes a while. There are usually a few tells - usually it’s if it starts reasonable and then just starts spinning out until it reaches something like this:

Oh man I’m so tired of bullshit like this. There were A LOT of people who had serious opposition to Obama, especially after 2012, including me. I was VERY bothered by his expansion of the drone bombings, his imprisonment of Chelsea Manning, his overseeing of the PRISM project (which Snowden told us about), his
