These planets can not be anything like Earth. They orbit a red dwarf and are tidaly locked to the star. There maybe liquid water on their surfaces but still they would be nothing at all like Earth.

He didn’t say don’t do research at all. He said do it before and during the rewrite. Writing starts with reading , perhaps you should do a bit better with that before you write ;)

You should seriously consider not writing about science or technology if you aren’t going to bother yourself with the little things like facts ! It saddens me that such lazy irresponsible writers are allowed to disgrace the entire profession.
