hate to shatter your faith in humanity but if you spend even five minutes cruising the sort of sites which are unregulated by nanny state scolds like Disqus you'll be exposed to language which would make those 80's movies sound as dated and innocent as the fashions.

i realize that we're all gathered in a private, commercialized space which is moderated by a third-party app and not having a Socratic dialog in the square of public ideals but jesus fucking christ it pains me to see our neutered attempt to have a discussion about swears in a goddamned comic book where no one can even

shit… well, i hope he just went to hollywood to cash in as a concept artist or something and didn't have to take some shit 9x5 and come home too tired to draw more than a panel or two a day. and i also-also hope that it isn't even worse, since you're always hearing stories about artists with no health insurance get

i got mine a few months back, so i'm guessing it was probably a third printing? it's nice to know the book is still selling - and, hey: if they can bring back Twin Peaks after 25 years, dude could pick up a pen and continue telling stories about the world any time he wants.

well… that's incredibly kind of you to say, sir or madam on the internet. thank you kindly.

wow - that shit is incredible! this should be, well maybe not exhibit #1 but somewhere in the nerd-sub category top 10 of all things wonderful about the internet.

do you mean two more issues of the floppies, or two more TPB collections?

out of curiosity, how do you approach something like this, reading through the history of Marvel comics?

has there been anything more for Orc Stain? i've only been able to find the first TPB (which I loved! the gronch is a concept D&D or Pathfinder should have paid him a bunch of money to steal… and why isn't someone hiring this dude to do concept art for game settings?) but haven't been able to find anything since. last

the only comics i read were some random back issues of Dark Horse Presents from… 1990. (damn, i can't believe comics from 1990 are 25 years old. i am old.)

would something like Calibre work to convert those files, do you think? i use Calibre for my ebooks and have successfully switched books from a Sony e-reader to a B&N Nook and now an Amazon Kindle. confession: i have no idea how DRM relates to e-book formats but Calibre is a pretty useful tool.

i've been playing in a regular monthly game with friends from high school and college - we get together using a website that provides an "online tabletop" but it's no different than getting together in a basement with quadrule notepads, stacks of rulebooks and those cheetos that come in a can. the only difference

Lexi Alexander directed Punisher: War Zone, a genre two-fer: comic books AND action.

you're right - as i noted, Joss Whedon had plenty of TV experience, as well as a cult fanbase and even experience being a lifelong fan of comic books. that still doesn't explain away George Lucas and his lack of experience.

pfft. c'mon - we all know that if a woman was allowed to direct a Star Wars film, it would completely ruin the franchise! first of all, there'd probably be singing or something - isn't there singing in all those girl movies? and Cosmopolitians!

it also seems to ignore the fact that
A) Joss Whedon was handed a tentpole franchise after making one movie based on his canceled TV show (and a host of beloved, but usually cult and/or cancelled tv shows…) and no one seemed too disappointed about the way The Avengers turned out
B) George Lucas had made one studio film

and Conan the Barbarian has a CROM center! get it?

i haven't clicked on any of those links but none of them appear to have "pornhub" in the url…is that really how you guys spend your time?

oh my… dude, you just figured out how all those ultra-family values, gay-bashing conservatives wind up having sex in men's bathrooms and places: their wee-wee's accidentally touched their own doopa's!

well, the AVClub was just shilling for that Koval stuff, which is $50+ for a 750mL.
