Toshiba Chromebook 2, CB35-3350 with the Intel Celeron ($299 new, ~$220 refurb from Amazon) which is an amazing machine, or the I3 model which is a bit of an overkill really for a chromebook but you never know ($350 taxes in, new from Amazon).

I just ordered the Toshiba chromebook 2 cb35 model with the I3 for my cousin that’s starting college. Cost $350. No tax. Also ordered a 64gb Small form factor USB 3.0 flash drive for extra storage if he needs it for $20, and a case for $15. Every thing came out to just under $400.

Or you know, go to the Apple Store.
