Pretty much. I mean the anime was big among teen anime fans in the states in the late 2000s—hell, tons of schools banned Death Note notebooks since there were stories of people writing kill lists in them. So really I think Netflix is bragging a bit much about “bringing it to the world” when it’s a pretty big series

Right. One super wealthy family earning ten million a year contributes less to a local economy than 100 families earning a hundred thousand. Sure the wealthy family may pay more for some thing, liek buy a ton of food for a big party or making some big ticket purchases, but how much of that really stimulate the local

Hell there was an article on the guardian just yesterday about how retails’ having trouble because people don’t have enough money to spend and the market is oversaturated with sotres because of it. Retail depends on the working and middle class, not the super rich.

I always assumed L was English. Never really pinned down ethnicity beyond “pasty” but nationality I assumed was English.

Probably Light given L is adopted and his backstory is vague.

I don’t. Hot liquids and me rarely mix. There’s one ind of instant coffee and that’s it. And I wouldn’t ut it int he thermos since I only drink small amounts at a time.

I’ll admit I got a good thermos in middle school. I had been bringing water bottles but I wanted something cold that wouldn’t sweat and mess with my books so dad got something. Our school had like, three water fountains and very short in between class times. So the only way you were getting anything was lunch or maybe

Seriously those dresses (okay dress and pantsuit with cape) are two of the nicest I’ve seen in a while. They’re both unique without being bedazzled all over or trying too hard. I mean Samira has just reminded us all that simplicity can look elegant as HELL no need for extra bells and whistles.

I wanted to see what easily came up on google. Like if someone was looking generally for “online museum exhibits” what came up first that wasn’t an ad? What would they be introduced to? I picked from the first four pages. They did end up being all US though.

If its not for you it’s not for you. Definitely my fave FPS.

I know, I was stunned! I was sure they’d be good! But then the Crocker took some hits too, didn’t have as many objects as it could have compared to similar and smaller locations.

I went there first semester of undergrad it was amazing! I loved it there!

Have finished data collection for my thesis, finally. The survey took forever to get off the ground and then BAM 80 takers in a week. Yay social media.

Plus the first Splatoon was a huge deal. So it makes sense to pay attention.

I personally feel it has a lot of mechanics that make it a lot of fun compared to some other FPS I’ve tried.

Yep. I mean it depends on the store how many babysitters there are (my local Safeway’s are so glitchy that if all six are even up they have two babysitters since sometimes it get confused if a bag moved a few inches on the scale, but that’s rare as usually only 4 are even up and 2 are down) but if you consider it a

He probably can’t hold still for a tailor. He strikes me as the kind of person who’d find it tortuous having to stand still with your back straight for however long it takes.

Very good post. Thanks for all the links!

Well said. Also makes me wonder how to support the Kurds more...

My money’s on we get some movement in the next five years or so...something’s go to give. Whether it will give for good or bad, idk, but Palestine has to hold elections eventually and Israel is due for them in ‘19 so those are potential turning points.
