Sounds about right. Plus the Pretorias have a fairly good sized gap between spokes. Every pothole felt like the car was bottoming out. Spending over 2k for wheels and tires in the first year was a tough pill to swallow but was worth the peace of mind. Was hoping to at least wear out the 19 inch tires first. Got 18

If I remember right the RS3 had about 20000 miles left if it held the original warranty for the second owner. The R being new had 76000 miles and I extended it. At the end of the day the RS3 cost over 12k more and honestly it’s in a higher league. Considering it was going to be a daily driver stuck in traffic it would

Happy to hear the perspective of someone who has driven both. Truth is I was repeating something I read on a R forum so I'm sure there was bias.

The ST / RS and The GTI / R cost debate are the same comparison. They are different animals wearing the same skin. (I think simile that made sense?) The engineering is different under each car. The R is barely a VW and more like an Audi S3 than a GTI. Yes there is a pretty large price jump in the R and the RS, but if

They added more decals to the rear end too. I preferred the lack of badging at the back.

Very different cars to compare. One is way more practical than the other and one would be new and the other pushing nearly a decade old by the time you can get your hands on this new R.

What did you think of the touch screen controls?

Unfortunate, but there’s a level of truth to that. Whenever I see a “goal” like this set I think of the 2030 Challenge that was set for buildings and architecture back in the early 2000's. The goal being carbon neutral / sustainable architecture as the norm by 2030. At first it had some momentum, but after the economy

Did you know if you Google image search Skaycog a GT40 comes up?

I was just thinking the same. This type of thing has happened before.

Nightmares?

I was in a similar situation a few years back. Paid off a little over a year early and just started putting the amount of the old payment into an account getting a little bit of a return. A few years later had enough saved up to pay off the next car before the first oil change.

Always said... The best option on a car is no car payment.

I’m not against progress and look forward to the day I can have and EV as an option. I’m sure it would make a great daily driver, but currently I’m an urban dweller with parking garage parking. It will be interesting to see how chargers are handled in parking garages of hundreds of cars and what it will do to parking

I can only imagine the steering wheel drum solos these cars have experienced. R.I.P.

I was thinking something similar. I mean the Tesla Roadster squeezed into a Lotus and that was with 2008 tech. I’d imagine less mechanical parts leads to a little more freedom to place things where you want to keep the balance perfect.

Asphalt and concrete mixes are designed with regional temperatures, ground conditions, and type of vehicular traffic in mind. Another factor is the “pavement section”, or makeup of the thickness of asphalt/concrete and substrate supporting it. If the mix design, or pavement section isn’t right for the condition it’s

If I learned anything from Tommy Boy, this guy’s brain has a thick candy shell.
