People sure loved Louis CK—evidenced by the blinding speed at which wagons would be circled to protect him over the years, from these “slanderous” or “rumor-mongering” women, even at faintest mention of the allegations.

Oh I’ve seen it...though I’m not entirely convinced what I watched wasn’t sweded.

Fuckin’ eh

Oh, well, yeah, of course. Vinnie Jones in a papier mâché Juggernaut costume is just a slice of what I hate about it.

Mr. P., but now I’m curious about this band. Just looked them up, and I’ll be giving them a listen.

The whole “moral imperative to entertain me” notion people seem to have about their favorite pop culture is fucking gross. He’s a fucking abusive piece of shit, that’s a lot worse than his having made your least favorite fucking x-men movie.

I wouldn’t say it’s cynical—it really seems to believe in its characters and sympathize with them—but it certainly can be depressing. It comes pretty headlong at issues around mental illness. Largely in cheerful color palettes though! Good, bright score too.

I feel like last season’s comment section was shockingly sparse too, but, yeah, this is worse.

My wife is very much of that opinion. “When is she gonna break up with this guy?”

Haven’t gone any further than this episode yet myself, and I’m curious to see where the Maria Bamford is Nuts program is going, and what this season has to say about last season. Does Maria feel her last season’s vision was compromised? Watered-down? That seems to be the implication in this episode.

Hopefully the next Red Dead Redemption will have a photo feature. It’s a pretty sturdy trend at this point, so I imagine it will. Christ, you’re tiring

That detail was great. Dustin, you’ve learned nothing.

I don’t remember it in season 1, but in Modine’s appearances here he does a really irritating, throaty Bad Guy voice that instantly swung him from threatening to goofy. I hope he stays dead.

Mohawk Punk was totally doing a dinner theatre version of The Giggler from Deathwish 3

I don’t think they were going for verisimilitude in their portrayal of the “big city”, but more likely doing a great take on that 80s, “goin’ to the crime-ridden big city” trope, wherein the big city turns out to be a few establishing shots and lots of backlot alleys and warehouse sets. Like Jason Takes Manhattan or

I really wanted to like it a whole lot more than I did, but I absolutely loved that scene in the car, and pretty much everything with Keaton. He played so well that blue collar, respectable but still an asshole type. Very Queens. It was all the Downey JR and Favreau that kept bringing me down.

That girl likes her syrup.

Yeah, his home life seems downright idyllic, generally, but especially when compared to the other kids.

Yes, more Mr. Clarke!
